  • Let me get this straight. So Noel had a short period where he sported facial hair and long sideburns? All along I've been thinking the guy on drums was a short-term member of the Enz. He looks so different, I just automatically thought his look didn't change throughout his time in the band.

  • @LibbyTheOstrich There is video from this show on the Enz DVD labelled as "Outback Tour 1981", and I believe Malcolm was sacked before the Waiata/Corroboree tour started, which explains Noel's presence on the drums

  • Thanks so much for this !!! I was but a Toddler during these years and all of their albums from Mental Notes to See Ya "Round are (as someone else on her said), "Ahead of their time" !! :)

  • 1982 was a good guess, but this is most likely The "Conflicting Emotions Tour," 1983-84.BECAUSE, Neil has a New Hairdo, (not worn in 1982 AND Percussionist NOEL CROMBIE is STILL ON DRUMS. Malcolm Green ended with the Waita/Corobee Tour, 1981, and Paul Hester did not join until early 1984, before the recording of "See Ya "Roung."This is NOT 1981 ...and most likely NOT The "Time and Tide" tour, since all viddys of that show Tim Finn, with a Captains Hat and Coat ~or~ dark trousers and suspenders

  • OMG "History Never Repeats" live 1981... i could only hope to see this when i was 13. thanks for posting this, RettroDood! i've had a crush on Neil Finn since i was 12 when i saw him on Solid Gold in 1980. finally got to meet him last August, and he was just as wonderful as he is here, just a bit older! LOL but aren't we all?? :-)

  • Thanks so much for sharing this!!!!

  • yeah this is 1981, from a show somewhere in outback South Australia if I recall...

  • What can you say? Ahead of their time.
