Not to use a pun but, jesus christ you guys are pent up - it is based on Christ and his suffering, I learnt this from ALIVE IN ATHENS so stfu, I'm no 'christian fanatic' nor do I care what YOU think its about, but your opinions your opinion no matter how misinformed.

This song is still great and I enjoy listening to it for no other reason than its good Iced Earth - keep your thumbs down boys, it really doesn't bother me.

@thanostkd The Lyrics are coming from the perspective of a Holy Martyr. Talking about how he is going to die, to try and show the world the darkness they are living in, and to try and keep the spirit of man alive. It has nothing to do with the guitar. A Martyr is someone who dies, to prove a point.

@lockedine it's all about entitlement to belittle and condescend other faiths and the normal person. 'I'm not mediocre and worthless because I pray to God!' they say despite many being insecure, many being jobless and many just being backward minded fools. @thanostkd I know its been 11 months since your post, But its about Christ (jesus). He let himself get killed for the human race. First he tried to teach but we didnt let him. "the things I said and done, dont matter to anyone" is one of the lines. That is how i think it is anyway. Jesus is the Holy martyr. Im not religous in anyway, but cant find any other meaning :P
