  • How many other bands feature their bass player on an album cover? Then again, with bass lines like the ones you find on " Creepin' " and " Paranoid " ( my favorite Mel bass line ) how could you not feature him. What a band! Powered by the Messenger guitar, the Ludwig drums and that thunder - grooving Fender bass! Make-up soon and jam boys!

  • Awesome song and still relevant today...awesome bass lines by Mel Schacher and amazing vocals from Mark Farner, while Don and Craig layin' down a cool groove! I miss this original lineup. Why cant they just be friends again and make great music like they all once did in the past??!!

  • @shaikhymx beautiful lyrics.

  • @47tooter Even among GFR-fans this song is very much underrated

  • What a powerful groove. Love it! Great sound quality too.

  • Sounds like an Anthem for the Occupiers..........

  • the lyrics are so contemporary, these are the times we are living, still.....

  • @47tooter you're right ..it came on We Are an American Band album...1973.... good call!

  • This song is not on this album.

  • That is one killer song and it's mainly due to the bass line. Mel Schacher, I believe? Good one, Mel!
