  • I have viewed a few video's on 10-28-0 and now it's 10-29-08 and ALL of the video's in the collection say "sorry this video is no longer available"???? I can view other video's just not any from the timseepots collection? HELP I have made so much progress by watching these. :(

  • I had one video removed for using james Brown music Every other video should be working I just flicked through 15 of them and they all came up... I dont know what the problem is.

  • WOuld that technique work with larger pieces? I have tried throwing large section pieces and it seems everything that could go wrong has gone wrong! I am using about 10-15 lbs per section and have be trying the leather hard way.. Any tips will help

  • I will do a larger section video soon

  • Great video Tim. Interesting concept and an idea I hope to take advantage of if I learn that I cannot handle centering and pulling the larger pieces I hope to do in the future once I am throwing well enough to duplicate most of the more general pieces & some of the more complex as well. An FYI, I am getting more height out of my clay these days and uses next to no water when throwing. Ceramics II and the fill-in-the-blank sessions worked wonders!

  • Water is an ok thing to use. use it when you need it if you find your pot twisting or folding your not using enough water for the pressure you are applying. Tim

  • All your videos are great and very helpful. THANKS.

  • -still waiting-

  • VERY HELPFUL....THANKS BUNCHES! :-)

  • When I make pots in sections I always start with about a thirty five pound base and use twenty to twenty five for the rest of the sections. I like to wait just until the shine has dried off the two sections to be attatched--but if it's the third or fourth piece I'll let the bottom dry longer so it holds up. But I like them still wet enough that I can shpae them as I attatch like Tim did in the video.

  • In the earlier months I found I was using too much water causing the clay to become overly wet and almost unmanageable. Now, that is one less problem I deal with when working on the wheel. I only apply water when it begins to feel gritty or as you mentioned, it is trying to twist or fold. I guess the experience of working the clay over the last 4mos is making a huge difference. I'm also not over-working the clay as much either. Love the vids. I check them out often. Terrific referencing...
