Per Mertesacker is my favourite player. He rules and he's German. Merte is his nickname

I went to school with him.
He's a good guy. He's humble and politely. And clever as well. He has the highest school education you can have in Germany. (Abitur)
I'm sad he left Werder but I wish him good luck in England. And I really give him credit for not going to Bayern Munich when they wanted him a few years ago.
