@IloTimo If you look closely, the dark dust you are mistaking for brake dust, is actually fuel smoke coming from the right exhaust on the overun and shift downchange. The exhausts exits are either side of the diffuser.
-
@IloTimo that's a good question! :)
team edlinger uses titanium plates on the front bumper (you can see in our channel a nice slowmotion from erich @ rechberg 2011 how that front works)
and here you can finde the titanuim rods moundet on the lower backside of the bmw:
hillclimbfans. com/gallerie/main.php?g2_itemI
d=41347&g2_page=2 (you have to delite the space after the dots) the rear titanium rods protect the underbody and diffuser of the racing car.
so long,

Nice car!
-
@IloTimo its the car hitting the road (99% sure) and it would take a long long loooonnnng time for these brakes to fail!
-
i want that instead of fireworks for christmas :D
-
Are the sparks actually from the car hitting the surface of the road or did the rear brake fail? I see that the car has very tiny ground clearance but it didn't seem to bottom out as badly in the first sectors (less bumpy?). There does appear to be what looks like a lot of brake dust.
