Misericordia University celebrated its Homecoming 2010 with several days (9/30 - 10/3) of fun activities, modeled after the theme "Deep In the Heart of Dallas."

The festivities kicked off with Thursday's "Hoe Down Throw Down," student dance. Everyone was able to dance the night away and have fun heading into the weekend.

Students, alumni and family & friends came to Friday night's Redneck Roundup Talent Show where students strutted their stuff and put on a great show. MU crowned its Homecoming King and Queen following the show.

Students woke up early on Saturday (10/2) to kick up their heels for the Rootin' Tootin' Country Parade, followed by our own MU Rodeo. Students were able to participate in some line dancin and even take a shot at riding a mechanical bull.

Saturday night was Wild Wild West Casino Night where students had a chance to win chips and compete for some cool prizes! Staff and faculty memebers volunteered as the dealers.

Sunday morning there was mass in the University Chapel of Mercy Hall, followed by the Giddy-Up Brunch.

On Sunday afternoon, students were able to compete in the Tumbleweed Volleyball Tournament at the sand volleyball court outside of McHale Hall.

This was definitely one hoedown to remember!
