The only purpose of this video is to show that there is no death music when you lose to K. Rool in the SNES version of DKC2 (it's almost like as if you're playing DKL or the GBA version of DKC3). All other levels have death musics. So when do you hear the K. Rool death music anyway? It's programmed in the game!

By the way, in the GBA version, the music that plays when you lose a life depends on the CHARACTER that you are, not what LEVEL you are in. So there is death music from K. Rool in the GBA version, but it's not unique.

And in DKL2, the death music is the same NO MATTER WHAT, so there is also death music from K. Rool in that game.

  • i recently discovered by re playing this game that if you get to have 99+ lives the little number on the corner doesnt change from 99 to 98 if you lose a life... like if you have 102 lives the number shows 99 but changes to 98 once you lose 4 lives... i dont know if i make myself clear... but it was a curious discovery

  • @vampcorpse Yeah, I noticed that too. A lot of Rare games do that, like the Donkey Kong Land games and Banjo-Kazooie.

  • it's cause the battle music is so awesome.

  • Yes. It's still interesting though to why there still is death music on the soundtrack.

PS: That death music is the best! I wonder if they didn't put it because it would make people WANT to lose!

  • I think its because of the feeling it gives off. The actual death music sounds... grim.... compared to the rest. of course, that's a personal opinion.

  • @gabrielwojcikiewicz Thats what I'm thinking

  • My opinion is you have to get hit by the butt of the rifle for the music to REALLY turn on x| Otherwise its not much of a death xp

  • NOTE: At the ripped OST on various places, it contains the Failure Music (even a guy what put the K Rool on Stronghold Showdown did heard the music death on K. Rool...

May they not put... placed to be an DEATH OF STRONGHOLD SHOWDOWN... But they decided to make K. Rool on the flying krok, may that's because they forget...

  • No possible SRAM space?

DKC 2 have a big memory inside...

    May that's because

  • well to me no music kinda makes u think " well im dead life will go on and poor donkey and diddy"

  • @NewYoshiGuy731 Probably that it scares the heck out of the kids xD
