Newly installed AEM intake on my 2003 Corolla S. I use to have a 2005 Corolla LE however it was sold last year 2010 and i bought a 03 S 5-speed in July 2010. My car is manual and i did i short run from 1,2 skip to 4th gear just to show how the cold air intake sounds @ about 4,000 rpm. I love the low end power my car has and its punchy from stop light to stop light. Has a very nice low end grawl and high end snarl @ 6,000 rpm. When i tested my car last night the power band thru out the rpm is strong and flat from 2,000-4,500 rpm but you can actually feel and hear the intake valve switch over at 5,000-6,000 rpm. My best bro thought i had a XRS lol. I will post the switch over in my next vid.
@ GSN2007, thanks bro.

No the faster u shift to a higher gear the better your gas mileage. However if u miss shift then u can damage your car. People miss shift when they forget what gear their in shift into a low gear at high speed and over rev the engine. So skipping gears at the right rpm and speed is harmless.
