Part One (of 2) of ChangeHawaii.org's docu-expose about how the administration of Gov. Linda Lingle and Lt. Gov. Duke Aiona killed the Hawaii Superferry before the first passenger or automobile ever boarded the vessel by recklessly attempting to circumvent the State of Hawaii's environmental requirements for an environmental assessment. Arguably, the Hawaii Superferry would still be sailing today -- connecting the major islands of Hawaii -- if the Lingle/Aiona administration had not botched the approval process for the Superferry. plus many businesses I go to are now either being bought out or shutting down. Just last month one of my favorite restaurants shut down after it was bought out by WalGreens. Businesses as large as the Superferry or as small as a convenience store are all going away. Some have been here for 20+ years.

amen to that. Nowadays here its all about the money. Before you could walk across the street without looking both ways because all drivers had aloha and let you have the right away. Now I can't call the capital building the capital building anymore. Thats how much I hate Lingle.

The Haole influence really has ruined Hawai'i. The cost of living is high because of the Haole, the homeless rate is high because of Lingle and her cronies. Unemployment is high.
What a sad situation there.
if Hawai'i was returned to it's true owners, none of this would exist. It would be quiet, tranquil, safe and not expensive.

Do you live in Hawai'i? I went there before in 1987 and support the Kanaka Maoli. Native Hawaiian rights. I remember how beautiful Honolulu was. I miss it. I miss the clothing. The muumuus were beautiful.

I can't stand that Lingle woman! Everything she has done to Hawai'i has ruined that state! She is two faced. Is her term up this year? Vote her out!

Sorry, but Lingle can't really control the legislature and judge's. If this was a dictatorship, she would never have let the ferry fail. Since its a democrocy with a majority of idiots you can't exactly control it without getting the idiots out of office. Remember that!!
