I got turned down by two girls thanks to that book (I Kissed Dating Goodbye). Now I have a relationship with a girl. We were friendly aquaintances until I asked her on a date. I really knew nothing about her until I began dating her, and I believe I would still know little about her were we not dating, and just hanging out as friends. I believe that knowing someone is much more than knowing facts about them. It takes deep emotional connection to really understand and love a person.

My book on I kissed dating goodbye is wif a fren, and Say Hello to courtship somehow got lost in the boxes when I m movinh house, seriously trying to find that book. haha!!! but I read both books alr, it is really good.

I really think you should read his second book ,he talks about what courtship really is: different from the falseness and artificiality of dating. Its about waiting for Gods time and entering a relationship, getting to know someone as a friend FIRST and involving people in your community in your relationship as it should be a blessing to them too. It led me to abandon the idea of dating and embrace the principles of courtship.

I read the "I kissed dating..." book, followed it explicitly and found that I missed a big part of emotional development part of dating (the getting to know part) until after I was married. I'll never force my children into courtship. Only from the outside does everything seem perfect. But no one is perfect and no amount of "good appearance" is going to help your marriage. My marriage is very happy - now that I shed the misconceptions of a made-up "perfect godly wife" that courtship promotes.
