  • Wonderful

  • This is perfection! Honestly, one of my favorite narrations of The Raven.

  • the only true master of horror will forever be vincent price

  • My God, how vividly I recall this when it was originally televised so long ago. As another has said, people nowadays have no idea of talent. No remote idea. Price needed no cues or teleprompters and delivered a rendition from memory that was hypnotic and spellbinding in its intensity - and all without the use of modern-day CGI effects. Fancy that. I can't think of a single modern-day actor who could hold a candle to this. RIP, Vincent.

  • yyaayy my moms name is lenore

  • A true master!

  • divine!!!

  • @anibalelcanibal And its a free nation with free ideals, I will not dispute that Price was good, but I liked Jones. I do however, respect your opinion and was simply stating mine. But Edgar Allan's work sounds magnificent and horrifying read by practically anyone, thats what makes him Edgar Allan Poe.

  • @davedavedaveannoy1 I disagree. While the regal majesty of James Earl Jones is interesting, I think it lacks the frantic madness that Vincent Price imbues into the piece. His reading of this piece --to me, at any rate-- is quite not dark nor eerie. Price expresses Poe's drear.

  • @lcme239 I believe the bust is an Augustus portrait. Compare it to other portraits of Augustus and you'll see the resemblance!
