This was great! I purchased some wood molds some time ago and there were not instructions on how to prepare them before pouring your soap mixture. Now I can use them my molds. Thanks.

The raw soap is lye heavy and will eat away at the wood (eventually). It's very difficult to remove the soap from an unlined mold. =)

Excellent method. I will try it. I always had a hard time making the edges flattened.

What would happen if you just poured the soap into the wooden box without the paper?
