Stage III Audi B5 S4 quattro AWD SCCA Ice Race / Snow Cross (Subaru WRX STI, Mitsubishi Evo)...

Some footage of doing an SCCA Ice Race / Snow Cross (Saginaw Valley SCCA - Ross Lake) event in my 2001 B5 Audi S4 biturbo. The engine tuning is from VAST Performance and the turbos from FrankenTurbos.

This was my first time ever doing an event like this, as you can see I had a great time (lots of drifting, sliding, rooster tails, etc). I'm looking forward to more events later this season...

The tires are (3 year old) Dunlop Wintersport 3D in 225/40/18 sizing...

How did you disengage EDL and ABS? I'm ice racing a B5 A4 quattro.

@peterwjmiller - on the 2001+ cars with ESP, EDL isn't very obtrusive. ABS is still on, but hasn't been too bothersome for me.

You could pull your ABS fuse and you'd lose ABS and EDL, but your brake bias will be poor. The car would be less stable under braking.

@SpecialFX99 - Yes, I think there were more FWD cars than AWD cars. The fastest times of the day were actually from the FWD cars because they got to run the course first with fresh snow. In the afternoon, the AWD cars ran and the course was already glare ice.

There were some awesome drivers there. I'm just a n00b, it was the first time I've ever done an event like that.

e im looking to pick up an 2000 a4 for a winter car ill have to hit my local ice track for sure lol took my truck out once lol even though i was way to big for the track it was still fun lol

Yea, your deff right about the shaking. I as well as everyone experiense's it with the RS4 style rims. I dont have the stock s4 rims but i think they were made so not muc snow can get caked in like on the RS4 style rims. I experiemsed it first hand... LET THE B5 S4 LIVE ONNNN!!!
