Sometimes you just have that great day and you get tired of catching bonefish by the afternoon. Casting 9 adn 10 wt. rods for sharks in shallow water is about as fun as anything! This is an average sized Lemon Shark, about 4 feet long, that took the fly. Just add a small piece of wire to a 4 foot leader and a fly that looks like an orange and red chicken! Hang on tight, these fish really bolt over the shallows when hooked!

  • We unhook all of them. Most of them we do not even bring into the boat unless the hook is turned into the corner of the mouth that makes getting to it difficult. We have hook pullers that work very well. Most of the time the hook slides right out as we do not use barbed hooks. All fish, regardless of species are returned without a hook in its mouth.
