  • Hi. Just wondering where "the lake of fire" statement comes from? Was it directly from your independant research of the bible or knowledge of some religion that specifically believes in a lake of fire? I'm an INTP as well so Cool vids..

  • Old school fire and brimstone Christianity.

  • There is a difference, actually, and it's that the person who doesn't eat meat is doing what many others also do and likely what he has been told to do by people he perceives as authority figures. The greem m&m guy, since he's doing something nobody else does, is more likely crazy.

Social pressure is a real thing, and we all experience it. I would argue that therefore, there is a difference between the meat and the m&m's.

  • Only because the meat eater is part of the acceptable religious construct. If you didn't know about his religion, or it wasn't acceptable in Western Culture, I think they would be perceived identically.

  • Religion is not illogical or irrational. Religion is a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe. There's nothing illogical or irrational about that, considering we still don't even fully understand how our human bodies work. You see, There's a difference Morton. Not eating green eminems made that kid feel safe for a day out of fear, but nothing was gained. Not eating fish taught the other kid sacrifice, restraint and self discipline, which has a lifelong benefit.

  • Atheists are some of the most talented people on the planet in the art of condescension. Most religions that ask you not to eat a specific food on a day is to help teach a person about sacrifice. Idiots weren't meant to read the Bible, but they did anyway. They sent mixed messages and there own interpretations that have been passed down over the generations. Experienced, mature readers can open a Bible and take a message from it without taking it literally.

  • Lake of Fire, written by the meat puppets, a song beautifuly covered by Nirvana on their 1994 concert in Newyork. [=

  • props man, i agree, and way to put it out there in a smart way, respect.

  • It depends on your interpritation of hell or hades as to whether I share your opinion that it is the same as the lake of fire.

  • Lake Of Fire" Comes From The Bible" The Book Of Revelations. In Other Words Lake Of Fire Is Also Known As Hell Other Words Hades" It's the Same thing The Bible Say's "Whosoever Was Not Found In The Book Of Life Was Cast Into The Lake Of Fire Thats The Second Death? Either U Go To Heaven Or Hell?? But As For Me I Serve The Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Vouch this guy.

  • Even if god exists is irrational to assume that a.God is still paying attention. b.That God plays an active and intrusive role in real time and at whim. c.That God cares what we think or do - especially as individuals. d.God would be petty enough as to demand or enjoy worship.
