THE COTTON PICKERS PHIL NAPOLEON - WHEN WILL THE SUN SHINE FOR ME - ROARING 20'S VICTROLA.MP4

Apparently not today, but it's a relief after a stretch of 100 plus degree days! This happy little group always produces wonderful, up-tempo arrangements of early to mid-20's dance tunes. In the recordings they made between 1922 and 1929 (this one from 1923, most of them in the black and white acoustical era but a few in 1929) the personnel, usually six or seven, are always shifting slightly every few recordings. They consistently include at various times all the best known names and orchestra leaders of the day, including Bennie Krueger, Rudy Wiedoeft, Harry Reser, Phil Napoleon. This is one of my favorites!

@75capriceconvertible It's finally cooling off here altho we haven't had rain recently. Yes, these artists are the orchestra leaders of the later 20's, and in case of Bennie Krueger already had established his credentials as a top notch musician and leader.
