The horses always seem to appreciate crisp morning temperatures and sure enough, true to form, all were elated to get out of their stalls and on with enjoying the day. All the horses in this video are completly blind. Even Lacey, the little Nigerian Dwarf goat, is completly blind. I don't know how she does it but she always manages to get herself out of harms way. Ciara, is a 1 1/2 year old Palomino Quarter Horse, blind since birth. She doesn't let her disability stop her from enjoying life. Cash, a blind 33 year old handsome Appy, still moves with confidence and ease. Through sheer love of life, these special animals teach us of the dignity one finds in managing a disability with grace.
aww i love how the pal does on the spot elated bucks so as not to bump into a tree, they are running and happy, just a bit slower and more careful than able bodied horses, sweet that they all understand each other too, probs a very respectful herd , lovely horses and dedicated owners xxx

They're all so beautiful. I guess you could call me ignorant in the sense that I have never worked with a completely blind horse. So, I was wondering if you could tell me how it is that you teach these horses were their boundaries are, and how well do they get around on their own? I'd love to take on the challenge of one one day. Do you work any of them?

It makes me sad when I hear people say that blind horses are worthless. I'm happy you've given some blind horses a home where they are worth something. Your a hero to them!
