10 Green Berets to Receive Silver Star for Afghan Battle

Members of the Operational Detachment Alpha 3336 of the 3rd Special Forces Group endured a nearly seven-hour battle on a mountainside in Afghanistan's Nuristan province on April 6.

heros ,,, the green beret guys are just heros , americans should be proud of them , am Iraqi and I worked for them as a combat translator for two years and am so proud of that :) I think its the best thing I ever done

i myself being a 101st ranger know how dedicated our green berets are..we fought with them and the seals on  numerous missions..god bless our special forces and all our military men and women..none finer in the world then ours..

@WarJunky11 He was Spec Ops marines not Special Forces. Special Forces is the Army Branch. MARSOC is Marine branch and I respect all. And thnak you and I respect the SEALs to and what they did was brave.

@MrOhiostateboy i have three cousins in active duty right now one of which is special forces, Marine Corp , i know the story like i said ya they might have heard the helicopters but the here helicopters every night, i can see that the reason you feel strongly about it is because your Dad, military is military i support them very strongly, and i wasnt takng anything away from the Green Berets, i was just stating the situation the SEALs were in

@MrOhiostateboy Thank you and i agree all branches should be given respect and i actually think green berets are the best trained special forces we have.
