The first electric light: inventors, history, how it works. From Volta to Sperry the development of the arc lamp. The carbon arc lamp is a HID - High Intensity Discharge lamp which sends an arc through the vaporized carbon formed between two electrodes.   • At some point the radio noise that arc lamps put out must have interfered with that new marvel the radio. When were RFI measures first taken to quiet these lamps and what techniques were used?.

  • @CampKohler Controlling RFI was one thing that Tesla constributed to the Arc Lamp in the 1890s. I would start with him and try to get a patent drawing.
