Returned form a trip to Brazil where we had the opportunity to visit, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and the heart of cachaça production region, Patos de Minas.
While touring in Rio, we met up with my friends from Miami and New York to talk about cachaca.
We spent a few days together visiting some of Rios top restaurants and bars; Aprazivel, Jobi, Bar D Hotel, and Hotel Fasano as well was having the opportunity to speak with some of Brazils most respected authorities of Cachaça like Paulo Magoulas of Academia de Cachaça. Before leaving Rio we spent an afternoon on Leblon Beach with Josh Wagner and Narren Young tasting various Cachaças and making fresh fruit caipirinhas using some unique ingredients found in South America.
