rb25det drag strip bad run

I took my rb25 powered 240 to the local drag strip to try out my mt 26x8.5x15 slicks. I couldnt hold my revs,preload the tranny and keep an eye on the light all at the same time. Its obvious in this vid that I didnt launch it at a high enough rpm. My best time of the day was a 12.7 I was running 14psi tire pressure and cutting 1.7 60 ft times with the stock rear suspension. Im sure if I bumped the tire pressure 1-2 more lbs i might have managed a better time. The rush racing anti-lag is next on my list.....

Love the RB25 240. I'm saving up for one that my neighbor's selling, but he says it won't pass smog emissions.  Do you daily your ride or use it for off road use only?

I drive it about once a week if its not down(meaning im adding something to it) But i dont have any issues getting it to pass inspection

Thanks Toadx8u. Its kinda funny b/c the guy I went with told me to check my clamps. In the past 2 years I have had the clamp pop off once..lol But I will try what you said...

keep up the good work man...slicks are hard to launch on...i sugguest either welding beads on the end of your tubes or finding someone to roll a bead into the metal for you...this will solve your clamp issue...i too had that problem for a long time...1.7 is a good 60 even with your slight bog...if your looking for a spot to leave go at about 5k and slip the clutch out dont just dump it...this will build the boost and you wont spin on the line either...
