Well I don't fit in the 99%. I have a STOCK Willys Jeep, AND a tricked out Chevy V8 powered YJ, and I'm home. I don't have anything against India either. But in my opinion, those Jeeps look Tacky, and in BAD TASTE. They do not embody the true spirit of a Willys or any Jeep for that matter. The beauty of a Willys is it's functional simplicity, and it is deemed inappropriate to pimp one out. The MB or GPW is held in SPECIAL high esteem as a WWII Artifact! Their value is REDUCED by modifications!

I understand. If you want a WRANGLER then get one, but don't get a Willys and turn it into a wrangler. I have done some mods on my 54 3B but most have been undoing what others have done to it. sold the 15" chrome wheels, got rid of the bucket seats, full bench seat in the rear and numerous other pieces of crap. Am still not sure how to get rid of the chevy steering column. I have an original, but the gear box was moved to the front bumper area. It feels like power steering, but isn't. Hoorah!!
