The Wollongong Hawks led the whole way and finished up winners against championship hopefuls the Adelaide 36'ers in an emotional match-up that saw the singlets of Matt Campbell and Glen Saville retired.

With just a few seconds to go, the Hawks scored and then got the ball back to run out the final 8 seconds of the final quarter.

Final score: Hawks 102 Adelaide 95.

Wollongong Hawks - you will be missed.

  • From extinction to a Grand Final the following year, hehe.

  • Darnell Mee you will be missed!

  • they're back in

  • The league asked for each team to maintain an account balance of $1,000,000 in order to secure their place in the league. Over the last few years, the NBL has had clubs dropping like flies and not being able to pay their players. This forced liquidity was designed to be a safeguard against this happening. Problem is, the Hawks couldn't afford it.

  • Glad you ended up getting tickets.......know that "yeh heh heh heh", which proves you made it. Well done!
