Gustav Mahler
Leonard Bernstein
Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra

"I believe it to be not only his last but also his greatest achievement" (Otto Klemperer)

"Once again I have played through the first movement of Mahler's ninth symphony. The first movement is the most heavenly thing Mahler ever wrote. It is the expression of an exceptional fondness for this earth, the longing to live in peace on it, and to enjoy nature to its depths—before death comes" (Alban Berg)

"The Resignation might well have been used as the title of the ninth symphony. The first movement grew to be a tragically moving and noble paraphrase of the farewell feeling. A unique soaring between farewell sadness and a vision of heavenly light" (Bruno Walter)

"A symphony must be like the world. It must contain everything" (Gustav Mahler)

  • 3:40~ Beautiful~~

  • I think I'm addicted.

I've been studying physics to Mahler for hours.

At least I'll get a good mark on the Diploma!

  • Mahler is for me, a model of composition, a source of inspiration, as he said when he was in life, "my era will come", and now, we will celebrate on 18 of may, the birthday of his death, the centenary. Around the world, we celebrate him with his incredibles works, like this symphony... Rest in peace Maestro Mahler.

  • @THEMGOROTH75 I don't know if someone responded to you already, but try downloading it on amazon.
