Isabelle's 3D/4D ultrasound video at 28 weeks. No lecture needed on the safety of this technology. I spoke to my OB and was informed it is safe. My session was very short, no longer than 20 mins.
"Is 4D Ultrasound safe?
Yes. We use low intensity sound waves that are applied for short periods at a time. The 3D and 4D uses the same sound waves as the traditional 2D. Thousands of "invitro babies" have been scanned with ultrasound weekly without any known ill effects. A 2004 study of 2,700 children found that there was no developmental or physical differences between children who had been exposed to multiple ultrasounds and those who were exposed to just one.
