WOW. How many shitty junior attorneys are out there that made mistakes while defending their clients? Dozens if not hundreds. You get a crappy attorney, you get crappy representation, bottom line. I guess if you were wrongfully convicted you would have no problem with someone saying, "Oh well, not my problem, let him rot." If human decency isn't a good enough reason for you, your tax dollars supporting an innocent man while they could be used for real criminals, should be a good enough one.
