On Sunday 26th of November 2006, the local branch of Europe's largest music store "Musik Hug" was showing thirty second hand grand pianos for sale on the first floor of city of Lucerne's beautiful town call. It included over thirty concert-, exhibition and second hand pianos of the famous brands such as Steinway & Sons, Fazioli, Bösendorfer, Grotrian-Steinweg, Schimmel, Boston, Yamaha at reasonable prices, e.g. a Steinway & Sons B-211 for CHF 79.000.

  • this is kinda spooky....or rather very atmospheric....

  • piano shops smell of history and coolness

  • hahaha really interesting to hear what everybody is playing lol

  • Thank you! i love schimmel!!!!!!!! i work at a piano store where we sell them! their just amazing

  • haha:)

  • how does the 2 makes compare based on sound?

  • I find Schimmel has a very special sound, that's why I love it ^^, even if it doesn't have the quality of Fazioli...

  • i wouldn't compare those 2 pianos. i would say Seiler

  • to be frank, steinway doesn't really sound special at all. they're just like oriental pianos on steroids, they don't have a particularly appealing sound all their own.

  • Schimmel
