On Sunday 26th of November 2006, the local branch of Europe's largest music store "Musik Hug" was showing thirty second hand grand pianos for sale on the first floor of city of Lucerne's beautiful town call. It included over thirty concert-, exhibition and second hand pianos of the famous brands such as Steinway & Sons, Fazioli, Bösendorfer, Grotrian-Steinweg, Schimmel, Boston, Yamaha at reasonable prices, e.g. a Steinway & Sons B-211 for CHF 79.000.

how does the 2 makes compare based on sound?

I find Schimmel has a very special sound, that's why I love it ^^, even if it doesn't have the quality of Fazioli...

i wouldn't compare those 2 pianos. i would say Seiler

to be frank, steinway doesn't really sound special at all. they're just like oriental pianos on steroids, they don't have a particularly appealing sound all their own.
