Solar and all the variations of it (biofuels are solar power too) are 100% safe and more than enough to power the planet. The problem is one of cost and patent control.
There are anti-trust activities by large oil/chemical companies that have been going on for years.
For those who don't know what the term "anti-trust" means, just think of any use of that term in a sentence as relating to monopolistic/anti-competitive activity.
Nuclear Power is cheap until you're forced to dispose of the waste. Some countries a pretty "creative."
For example, a few years ago, an elementary school in a 3rd world country was found to have been built with highly radioactive bricks. Guess who owned the factory that made the bricks? A hazardous waste disposal company from Europe.
@ihamoitc2005 Waste disposal is cheap by American standards. All the waste that has ever been created by American nuclear reactors is still at the reactor site, being contained in large pools of water. The idea was to put all the waste in Yucca Mountain, but politics in this country have stopped that.
This waste you speak of still contains ~93% usable uranium. Other countries laugh at us because its like we're eating the banana peel and throwing away the banana.
@ihamoitc2005 The real question of waste in the United States is whether or not we should be reprocessing our waste to recover the remaining usable uranium. France for instance supplies their country with 80% electricity by NP. The reason they can sustain this is because they reprocess their spent fuel. America needs to follow their example.
I can only speak for America, and I know for a fact we would never let anyone build on a spent fuel repository. Besides, there aren't any!
holy shit! can this piece of shit get any bigger? Why doesnt he do a movie about what he eats. Oh yeah and lets do a short story of his donations. What a hemorrhoid this guy is
so you cant come up with anything negative to say about what he says, so you bring up his weight? last i checked, the majority of americans were overweight/obese, so grow up and get a life
