Michael Moore, in interview with WDIV, discusses how GM is still heartbroken over 'Roger & Me' 20 years later — refusing to let him meet with press at the rented theaters at GM's Renaissance Building for the Detroit premiere of 'Capitalism: A Love Story."

  • Michael Moore is a courageous and caring person. I sincerely hope there are more Americans like him. We, here in Canada, wish you luck in attempting to get democracy where it truly counts; in economy.

  • MM is one of the few with guts in America today

I decided to reply to your post after 4 months because I was replying to someone else on this topic.

Do you know how much the utilities (powerplants) pay for the disposal of spent nuclear fuel? It's about 0.1cent per kwh produced. The utilities have been paying this for 30 years and still have not been rendered any long term storage service for the waste.

What Americans call "waste" is what the Europeans call unused energy. The solution is to reprocess our SNF like FRANCE

  • @ArielDarkBlade69

The word nuclear does not imply it's not safe....this is a straw man argument.

Sure, I don't wanna go swim in spent nuclear fuel, because that will surely kill anyone. But not all radiation is bad. In fact, radiation in small doses has been proven to be beneficial. Hell our bodies are naturally radioactive!

Yes, nuclear materials in the wrong hands is a recipe for disaster, but that's why you put it in the hands of scientists who actually know what they are doing!

Thanks for replying to my 4 month old post. Don't get me wrong, wind energy is ok, but in the end it can't supply the energy the world needs.Renewables account for less than 10% of world energy production, and wind less than 1%. This data is from 2008 EIA report.

In the US, the only reason why wind farms survive is because of government subsidies. Otherwise they would never be able to pay themselves off in a reasonable time.

Wind is not the answer to our energy problems!

  • You aren't "shit out of luck". Much of Southern Ontario uses wind energy and it works pretty well there

  • That is an extremely ignorant comment.

    But generally, true. =P

  • nuclear implies its unsafe. tell me youd go for a swim in some nuclear chemicals? i doubt it. wanna know why? because its dangerous
