We talk to the techno DJ about his forthcoming debut artist album and his new radio show, Funk You, as he plays out at Pressure's Halloween party in Glasgow...
We've long been fans of Ben Sims here at EQTV. Not only is he a damn fine DJ, capable of rocking any crowd with his big, chunky techno sounds, he's also one of the finest people you could hope to meet. So whenever Ben's in town, we're on the floor. But for his latest visit to Pressure, we had another reason to track him down -- we'd heard that he's just started work on his long-awaited debut artist album, and that he's launching a new radio show at the start of 2011. We had to find out more...
Of course, Ben's as much known for his radio shows as he is for his DJing. His Split show was loyally followed by thousands of fans all over the world, while his current show, Essex Rascals, sees him team up with Tony Anderson, Mark Broom and Paul Mac to deliver a huge range of sounds that appeal to a huge listener base. So news of the more techno-orientated Funk You, which Ben plans to launch in January, is pretty exciting. Find our more -- and see Ben in action at Pressure -- by watching our film...
