On 20th December 2011, Mrs Mary Deya was released from Lang'ata Women's Maximum Prison after serving 10 month from 7 year sentence. A Nairobi court judge acquitted Mrs Mary Deya of stealing 5 children, taken from their home in Mountain View Nairobi Kenya on 20th of August 2004. Archbishop Deya in the UK is fighting extradition to Kenya, to answer charges of stealing the same children. The judge acquitted Mrs Mary Deya under section 210 criminal procedure code and ruled that the charges against Mrs Mary Deya of child stealing were fixated and failed criteria necessary to enable conviction in this stage, therefore the prosecution failed to prove that she had stolen children.
