One of the best from Kenny Rogers. Kenneth Donald Rogers, better known as Kenny Rogers (born August 21, 1938) is an American country music singer-songwriter, photographer, record producer, actor and entrepreneur. He has charted more than 120 hit singles across various music genres and topping the country and pop album charts for more than 200 individual weeks in the United States alone.
Two of his albums, The Gambler and Kenny, are featured in the About.com poll of "The 200 Most Influential Country Albums Ever". He was voted the "Favorite Singer of All-Time" in a 1986 joint poll by readers of both USA Today and People.[3] He has received hundreds of awards for both his music and charity work. These include AMAs, Grammys, ACMs and CMAs, as well as a lifetime achievement award for a career spanning six decades in 2003.

  • This is Kenny's best, and certainly most underappreciated, single. Other underplayed Kenny Rogers songs are "Daytime Friends," "Crazy," and "What About Me?" Thanks for posting, Boz!

  • @peeterpoon you're quite welcome.

Longest inmate ever at Marion the toughest prison in the system.

  • this song is one of the best from KR period. what makes this song magical is not only is it a great song, but the relevance and importance for this lost generation.

so truly profound and sad at the same time :(

  • @theenforcer1977 i can image what it must feel like on your side, i myself have seen great people passing away way to early, taken away without a warning, if i may offer an advice, try and uphold your lost loved-ones by doing little good deeds to others. just little things that help others in all-day-everyday situations. it is a soothing feeling to help others for no reason other than doing a little good to someone you don't even know. kind regards and best wishes.
