Here's a walk around and drive of my 73' Freightliner. It has a 318 horse Detroit 8v71, coupled to a Fuller 13 speed and tandem axels. It's been a work in progress and I've done a lot so far but there's tons more to do. This is my second Detroit powered truck and this one is a blast to drive. The engine runs great and the tranny is very easy to shift once you get the hang of it. It has a Jake brake which helps with braking as well as making shifting a lot easier. Hope you enjoy and there will be more to come!

  • I thought that truck suppose to have the Red and White Colorado license plates.

  • @Thinker669 hey there, the red and white plates are "Fleet" plates I do believe. This truck is registered as a Recreational Vehicle so I can have just the REC TRUCK or regular plate. No CDL required in CO either!

  • can you pleaseeeee do a video of the inside? im making a scale version of this truck I want to do full interiors on it :) heheh

  • @SilvioJDePena Hey I will try to get a video posted of the inside of the camper. I know a lot of people have asked for it so I will see what I can do. I wont be able to do it for a few weeks though so just hang tight.

  • LOVE the color, the the COE style, the whole truck. What a beauty.

  • Be sure and run HOWES fuel treatment in it and DON'T LUG IT and don't use the jake for a toy and it will outlast you. If it still has a Luberafiner bypass oil filter replace it with a spin on by pass.

  • The history of Freightliner, going back to the Consolidated Freightways (CF) days when they had them special made, is interesting. When I started trucking in 1974 I remember CF trucks running out West had the slogan "Consolidated Freightliners" on the backs of the cabs. White made them. I'll bet some of the young guys are confused by the title of this video. "That truck is orange, not white!:"

  • Very cool,that's motorhoming!

  • nice job man

  • best motor home EVER!!! wish i could see what it looks like inside
