Nice and powerful flame. I'm going to build one and I have a question. From what I can see the nozzle arrangment is soldered I think. Doesn't it get too hot so that the solder could melt eventually ? I also want to solder a drilled cap on a copper tube but I' m hesitant to do so for this reason.
Thanks.

hello
what is the oil consumption????????

Good setup.
If I were to do a babbington style I would do it the same way. Don't see the need for a ball with this style of atomisation. Small hole into a stream of oil will work fine.... as you have well Shown!! :0)

preheat is not needed, atomizing has a very high efficiency! Good Job! :)

how did you not have to preheat

is that a small babington, injector nozel, or drip into injected are type?
depends on how big a flame you want, I burnt a gallon in as short as 10 min or as long as an hour

The ball is the best way to eliminate plugging up, With the ball all you need is a good pump to circulate the oil.

The oil burns well as soon as it hits the tube, pre heat would help I am sure but it was not needed for this used deep fryer veg oil.

just a very simple drip oil over a tiny hole, not all that good IMO.
I bought a bab ball and will be building a new setup soon.
the ball is the way to go as you can then use a simple pump that can pump oil over the ball and the flow can be alot and you will have no chance of plugging.
