  • Thank you.

Yes,maybe I will make an shell or a starmine, but not now.

  • Looks nice!

I made some TT stars yesterday but with willow charcoal. I might try them in a shell soon.

    5*

  • Thank you.

I think with willow charcoal, you will have a shorter spark, but it is nice too.

    Good luck for making it.

  • Do your t.t stars harden properly?I can never seem to get them hard,no matter what drying tecnique I use.I can leave them for months on end and they are still soft.I use 6% of the same dextrin that works o.k in all my other stars.I cant see why they never go hard.

  • i think im having a problem. when i lite the TT mixure. it doesnt burn that well. it will burn small perportions at a time. Remember, this is not roled or cut or any thing. JUST the powders mixed together. What can i do to make it better. and i have cut them right now. So i might just prime them with BP so it can make it ignite.

  • these also work work with regular black powder, unmilled

  • nice star. i have had alot of succes using sodium nitrate to replace th potassium in my TT stars. it reduces the burn speed a little, so i add about 5% more sodium nitrate.

  • can u use sugar in place of sulfur?

  • 44 kno3

    44 charcoal

    6 sulphur

    6 dextrin

  • what were that ratios?

  • Thx ;)

You're right indeed. Mine don't spark very well but they do look good (tested from a star shooting tube). I should soon have some pine charcoal from the christmas tree :P
