Blonde, beautiful and legendary, another video showing the astonishing career of Eva Duarte Peron, the now mythic "Evita". Showcasing her years as an actress/model, film clips from her movies "La Cabalgata del Circo" and "La Prodiga", footage of her in Europe, pictures of her and children etc.

  • @icebear1946 I totally agree with you..the Argentinian society was divided with huge differences between rich and poor.

  • @am1966ath Ah. Thanks. ^_^

  • @VanitasxAura In the 1960 CIA got involved in Chile and Cuba and so on..in the end 1940S the US had other involvements..and she didn t directly threatend US interest, in the short run..also in 1947, to travel from Washington to Buenos aires took some time even on an airplane..todays world is so close,so connected.

Margaret Tatcher was an english female primeminister 1979-1990, she was a strong women in power..which disturbed many men in power, mayby the same with Evita.

  • @am1966ath Well, it never hurts to be a little optimistic, even when the situation's grim. To get back on the Evita subject, I didn't know that the U.S. started to get involved in the 60's. I knew that we had published an article about her in 1947 while she was on the Rainbow Tour in Time Magazine, but it was censored in Argentina for a few months because it was the first to reveal she was illegitimate. BTW, who's Margaret Tatcher?

  • @VanitasxAura Things won t get better..the opposite...the US didn t have much to do with Argentina during Evitas time..the US involvment in Latin America starts in the 1960S....Evita was a colourful personality..people tend to love the person more than the deeds..Margaret Tatcher for example does not ewoke feelings of love as she was businesslikeweres Evita was emotional.

  • @am1966ath Wow. That was a lot to read. Whew. I'm not Argentine, I'm American, but I've read enough on Eva to make my own decisions about her. I'm sorry that you're living in such turmoil in Greece, but I'm sure things will get better eventually. Just stay positive and hope for the best. Let's just hope things get better sooner than later.

  • @VanitasxAura If you look at Latin american cities..like Buenos aires or Lima..you will soon see the palacesofthe colonial upper class/oligarchs and the private clubs of the officer-corps.These people used to rule there..andsuddenly Evita comes along?of course they don t like her...

  • @VanitasxAura I know from Greece where I unfortunately live that politics is 60% passion that here has turned into diseaster..where enemies has to be found and are found in demented greec media ..the IMF,CIA,germans,Jews you name it..the argentinians are as passionate about politics as the greecs..when so many as they were and are poor in Argentina and someone gives you to eat and clothes..and mayby healthcare..you love that person. Oligarchs or generals have other views..they don t starve no?

  • @VanitasxAura To loveor to hate a person that plays a role in a country, you probably have to be from that country.Hugo Chavez for example, stirs up huge emotions among the people of Venezuela, the people affected by his policies and his taxes. Evita in Europe, so far away was an exotic bird. Im Swede, in Swede the politician Olof Palme was a typeof swedish Evita, creating huge emotions of love or hate among the swedes, where the internationalcommunity saw him in a more sane way.

  • @am1966ath I never said you were anti-Peronist. I don't judge you based on who you are. If you want blunt honesty, I know Eva did some bad things during her life, but that won't stop me from loving her. She is human, as we all are. We have our faults and hers is what lead to her premature death. Again, please respect my opinion, as I respect yours. I'm not trying to put up an argument, just a simple conversation.
