  • When you stopped at 218, I saw my home from 1984-2007. We moved there from 217 lane near st Joachim and Anne. lived right across the street and still was late to school. I had my 1st communion and Confirmation at St. Joachs, as we called it. I got married and my daughter was baptized and 1st communion at Our Lady of Lourdes. thanks for the memories..I will be checking out your other videos.

  • glad you like the video,

    thanks for watching!

  • I was born in QV in 1957. I remember Winters, the Community and Century Theatres ( Batman and Robin appeared there in person), the 5&10, Super 5&10, Kassels and Scott Luggage. We walked down 218th Street under the railroad tressel I saw on the video to go home on 217th St. and 100th Avenue. Was Pellagrinos across from King Kullen which became the A&P before it was Key Food? I went to Saints Joachim and Anne school . And OF COURSE, I remember the smell of Bellachicos bakery!

  • I did hear about Batman and Robin appearing at QV, also Tony Orlando was at Community Gardens.

Went to OLL, but the grandparents lived in St Jochimin and Anne parish, so we attended many a mass there, in the old church, remember when we lit REAL candles?

  • Great video

  • thanks,

I do hope you find your dog.

  • HOLLIS CT BLVD born and raised. Best neighborhood in Queens. Great houses, great diverse people, everything you want, QV has! Thx for making this video. That's my route every day, Jamaica Ave to 212 lol

  • I would be more than happy to answer questions you may have that I may have the answer for.

  • @1disneynut2 hey, im doing a research on queens village, would you mind if i can interview you?

  • Was great to see the film. I grew up in Queens Village in the late 40's early 50's. One correction. When you said this was the original Key Food, it was originally an A&P which opened in the late 30's

  • lmao! i find this funny!

  • @Beckala67 over the last 20-30 years Queens Village changed a lot. I moved there post movie theatres, post bars... its so weird to me to see pictures from back then lol
