@mig1964ca - Sometimes we have to look look at the positive; and this is one of those times. I agree that the Taylor-esqueness was a nice tribute to the style but the drummer truly gave deep respect to Mel Taylor (RIP) by not even trying to copy the style nor the solo completely.
The drum solo disappointed... he's good, and started with some Taylor-esque rythyms but Mel always maintained the same beat as the song. This guy just went off on his own, demonstrating his speed, and it just didn't fit in context.
i remember when i was young everyone sounded so boring except for nokie.he was way ahead of his time.he invented all of todays licks yet others get the credit. all this blues bullshit but nokie was already there.thx nokie
