Except Peter Jackson, Fransh Walsh and Phillipa Boyens are co-writing the screenplay, and Peter Jackson is going to produce it. And you can't base a director just on one type of movie they've made. I thought Hellboy was ok, but I loved Pan's Labyrinth. I think Guillermo del Toro will do a great job.

Peter Jackson is one of the greatest filmmakers of all time. He is so much better than George Lucas. Jackson didn't go overboard with the CGI. Jackson actually filmed on locations. Lucas just uses computers.

i always considered peter jackson one of the best directors of todays world, but even so lord of the rings was a great movie my favorite peter jackson movie has to be bad taste i thought that movie was perfect in all aspects: it has blood, aliens and a crazy team killing the aliens. what can be better than that
