@brofranomo, interesting comment, I've listened to this hundreds of times and never thought about that. Although looking it up there's a theory about Phil Spector being the one who don't get me (to record for them) and his girlfriend who can sing. They say the dates don't stack up for the MJ theory. Then again there are loads of meanings put onto Beatles songs. So who knows.
@DarthCouragous Song was written solely by John Lennon and was a message to Mick Jagger who was his friend. It was about micks girl friend "who could sing" but he also was telling mick that although they were a great band, they would never be as good as the Beatles.
