Barkevious Mingo NFL Draft Analysis - Oregon (2011 Season)

The following is a video of Barkevious Mingo's 2011 season in which TMB broke down his game against Oregon.

Mingo is #49 and plays defensive end and outside linebacker for the Tigers. I understand some highlighting may be spotty as it is difficult when they are late adjusting to the play. My apologies for that but really nothing I could do to alleviate that issue.

Most of his negatives weren't negatives.

He strung out an outside run - his job.

He was pancaked by a double-team - most would be.

He took out the QB on an option-pitch - his job.

his "negatives" are very teachable, you cant go wrong keeping the outside always contained. maybe not strong enough for DE but definitely fast enough for OLB

Not saying I want to see him in the uniform, but if the Jets got this guy... They would utilize him to the best of his ability. You could see him being integrated into their defense the same way the 49ers did with Aldon Smith. Guy is either the next Aldon Smith or the next Aaron Maybin.
