I must say, between this case and the Russell Williams' case, I have to wonder about the competency of suburban police officials in Quebec/Ontario (although I realize the majority are probably decent people). It just seems a lack of willingness and communication is a serious problem.

@6151RichmondStreet Who had access to the evidence? A cop who knew something perhaps? I don't think it was by accident that any evidence went missing there's something being covered up!

@ClayPigeonPatsy I found it weird too that the retired cop/chief has kept the newspaper clippings on this case after all these years! Plus why does he cry? So strange a reaction and sometimes the true murderers will keep newspaper clippings of their crimes could this be the case the cop knows more than he is telling?? I think a cop is involved somewhere as who would have access to evidence to disappear or be somehow thrown away?

How horrible for the family that because the authorities were too lazy to do their jobs theu suggested maybe she was a drug addict and overdosed and died. The shame is on the authorities for not being willing to do their job.

Seems to me the police in that town are a bunch of incompetent dolts who haven't earned the right to wear their badges. "Body found? Oh, hit & run. Another body? Oh, musta been a drug OD. Hey, what's that guy doing dumping a bloody trash bag with limbs hanging out of it into a ravine? Must not wanna pay for a funeral. He definitely can't be a murderer dumping a body!" That's the mentality of that town's police force.

Such sloppy police work. They may not have been able to find her or prevent her death, but they certainly could have found evidence and interviewed more than basically just students.

The retired cop in the last part came off to me as though he was upset only because he knew he screwed up, rather than actually being haunted by it's sadness.

Her brothers are so awesome!
