Fischer did have Asperger's sydrome which accounted to his supremity in chess yet also have mixed behaviour. I think most chess grandmasters understood that eventually, and was a reason why Fischer wanted to be alone throughout his life.
Anyone who says 'RIP in hell Fischer, you deserved to die' should understand what he had. If you had the same syndrome, you wouldn't like people to laugh at your death, would you?

If anyone here thinks Fishcher was antisocial, well have a look at what he was up against throughout his whole life. He was up against the American Government who from the 1960s onwards were keeping dirty secrets from the public. He defied the American beureacracy by travelling abroad to play chess back when laws prohibit him to. He was up against continuous papparazis, and also from his opponents(Russians) who colluded to play against him in tournaments. But he Defied them all!!!!
