  • As long as the votes are counted by a Diebold machine, I will never have faith in our democratic system. Did you hear about the discrepencies between the hand-counted ballots and the machine-counted ones in New Hampshire?

The voter turnout is so low not because people are stupid, but because most of them are smart enough to realize that either way they vote- democratic or republican - the result will be the same - more wars, more taxes, bigger government, less freedoms.

  • This poor deluded individual does not realise that democracy is not about voting, it is about having a real choice in how we are governed. Voogle, poogle or woogle won't and cannot give citizens this nor have they shown any interest in doing so.

  • Why you want the ignorant masses to vote on complicated issues they are not familiar with.

This will be the disaster. Don't be naive !

There is a reason why China moves much faster than the US or the EU.

I think the popular vote is Overrated.

Heck look at the most popular Youtube videos, its all junk.

  • Yes,it does. They only paid me $70.00 for doing my civic duty. Some people can't afford to lose salary&wages for a pittance like that.I encourage you to look up "jury nullification"so that you can see how judges are undermining the power of the people. The Supremes have ruled time and again that the jury has more power than the judge.

I don't look down on my fellow citizens who get disillusioned-the system is corrupt even towards the good guy.Keep fighting,I say& work for the changes YOU want.

  • "they don't want to be called for jury duty"

So. . . They hate other people voicing 4 them, and they also hate having to speak up? I guess the jury system needs to be fixed too, huh?

  • "computer voting is retarded"

    And what way is better?

  • Well hello there Robert Paul Wolff. People voting in their own homes. Will we then in the end even need parliaments? Instead of having legislators vote on issues, everyone could just vote from their homes.

I don't quite see the link between voting and free market mechanisms. E-voting might work in developed countries, but won't work quite as well in the developing world, where computers are rarer. Besides, will making voting easier entice the apathetic to vote more?

  • Are your name really Jacob Sober-off? xD And they should make Voogle, that would have been awesome

  • Fake ass rigged elections. We don't have free elections in this country. What we have is called Tyranny from a New World Order group of fascist neo-con central bankers.

  • I think the lack of voter participation is caused by apathy towards the government, not so much because of the voting system.

  • I've just finished watching "Hacking Democracy". I think I'd be more willing to risk a hacker attack upon an honest system than continue to suffer blatant deceit from a black-box system. In fact, the suit-and-tie hackers are the only ones who stand to lose in a real Democracy.

  • "Uh, what?" - You're exactly what this guy in the clip was talking about. Sigh
