  • thumbs up if you wanted to watch the rest of the conversation

  • George Carlin was incredibly wise. I miss him.

  • You spoke about being "objective" well in order to be objective, you cannot dismiss the success cases as exceptions. What has been done, is a comparison between similar "success", and "failure" cases, and identify the variant between those. Studies have been done, the variant in a high percentage of the cases, is socialization (inculcation). You can do the rest of the research yourself, since it would be too long to explain here.

  • The conditions to be "successful" in this country are there. All everyone has to do is realize what they are. A person making minimum wage can have a "successful" life if the money and time are managed appropriately. So yes, if people are not being successful it is because of poor management with time and money.

  • @martinperez1713 In order to have an objective argument we need to define "success". I believe success is is making it to "middles class". So, you are telling me that 2 immigrants that came to this country in their late 30s w/ no money, and w/o speaking the language, have a greater chance of success than some one that was born and raised here, speaks the language, and understands the mechanics of the country? (This is a rhetorical question)

  • @davehutchinson67 I live in South Florida, Hurricane Andrew, look it up. Now, if u would do the world a favor and shoot yourself, i would really appreciate it.

  • It is a matter of LAW, nobody is above / below it.

    - even if you are POTUS you commit a crime, like being war criminal, after due process and the court and its system finds you guilty, you go to jail, black president or white president.

    - even if you are poor and is the last survivor of a dying race of purple people, you commit a crime you get arrest and face the same due process.

but of course American is lawless, POTUS go free, black looter get shot, and things ends with shitty debates.

  • I love George, one of my personal heroes, but this conversation is so one sided.

  • On the point of looting houses. Man A has a family and his children are dying. It is either attack another person's house for food and shelter or let his family die.

Man B is thinking of nothing but violence and taking what he wants for himself. As a result, he loots someone's house.

Which scenario is what people typically imagine? If you said Man B, then you were right. We are so used to thinking in our own selfish perception of apathy, we forget that their MIGHT be another side.

  • Bill Maher and George Carlin...

    in the same room...

    teeeee!!!!!!
