I loved how the monster wasn't a villain, we don't always need a monster of the week or villain,He was just a sad scared creature and like Vincent Said. Just like us we're blind and scared we strike out. so I loved that. Showing how even in different worlds we're all the same in the core

I don't know what episode you guys watched. This episode was dreadful, worst in the history if Doctor Who.

A great episode - one of the best of the series, I think

The monster was Vincent's depression. Many of the monsters are symbols of problems in out society. Only Vincent can see it- even though the doctor tried to help he couldn't hit it at the right spot... Vincent's the only one who could defet it but doing so would be his own demise (suiside) and it was only because he was afraid of being alone and that explains his "madness". That's what I got from the story... might just be me...

@BarryAldridge I just watched Pirate Radio (The Boat That Rocked) and really enjoyed it. The extra scenes were very realistic as far as radio back then. Someone did their home work.

Whoa...I had no idea about Richard Curtis. We love his stuff and didn't even know it. Wait till my Wife finds out. We adored the episode. Thanks for the review...I subscribed!

@BarryAldridge Thank you! That makes me feel better. I saw Cleese on Graham Norton about a month ago so I think after a lifetime of watching the man I would notice. I did find a YouTube clip someone kindly posted. I guess if the BBC did allow video views then I wouldn't need BBC-A.
Great review as always, Barry! This episode aired last week here. I completely missed John Cleese in this episode. I'm growing tired of the BBC blocking me from watching videos on their site. Can you speak to them about that for me, please?
There will be no new episode on BBC-A until 10 July, apparently. I love your reviews.

@billtvmacon John Cleese wasnt in this episode haha, He was in another episode a long time ago. That sucks about BBC-A, I may see with the BBC but I dont think I will get anywhere. If I find some links I will let you know Bill.

this was the best episode of the new series ... there was a huge villain !!!!
it was van gogh's own demons
and why does an episode need a villain anyways.i think its a better show than that.

@helrod Indeed it was Van Gogh's demons that had him.
