Theory: Men and women are attracted to skinny women and muscular men because of evolutionary primal instinct for who would be a healthier and suitable mate.

I do agree with you completely that the "primal instict" thoery is a faulty one.

When I give birth to a child, I DO want a woman with more meat and hips, without even considering the fact that chubby (well, "curvier" is a better term) women look healthier to me, as long as it isn't an extreme case of obese, which, of course, is just as unhealthy as a frail, weak, underfed, anorexic looking stick figure, poor excuse of a woman.

You even admit it yourself, saying that you prefer guys that aren't skinnier than you. You then claim that it's at least partly because of societies views. Maybe society has those views, because that is how we evolved.

Also, people going for others of similar body type is completely in line with that. Evolution would want us to have the best chance of survival, and a "4" isn't going to have great chances with mating with a "10," so we evolved to seek out those similar to us.

You're bringing up "sexism" as an argument against an evolutionary theory? No shit you don't need a guy to "take care of you" in this day and age, that has nothing to do with why we evolved to be attracted to certain features.

I hate to tell you, but men and women ARE NOT equal. Men and women have different features, different strengths and weaknesses. There are certain things that women will NEVER be equal to men at, and vice versa.

It's been proven guys like juicy booties. =) In polls and stuff. When I was really skinny because of anorexia guys thought I looked sick. The notice me more now that I actually have curves.

Also, I don't really care about how a guy looks. What matters to me is intelligence, humor and kindness. =) So whoever thinks this bull is totally and utterly WRONG!

they dont say skinny girls are the most evolutionary attractive but women with curves but are still pretty fit. I dont know what your definition of skinny really is so its kind of hard to know what u mean
