According to common belief a company should be seeking for growth and to use
subcontractors but Genelec is in resistance. It manufactures the pieces of it's
speakers almost entirely by itself. The part of subconstractors is set to minimal.
And instead of manufacturing Genelec in China it increases it's production in it's
hometown, Iisalmi. In marketing they also believe primarily in spreading of a good word.

These speakers may be found in a user's livingroom who is very aware of quality.
Usually they are used by professionals in demanding monitoring of audio.
A little over 5% of the speakers stay in Finland and the rest of them mostly ends up in
studios all over the world.
Genelec is a success story of which statistics are incomparable. Like the increase is tens
of percents. However it hasn't been aiming at prosperity.
