How bad can a day get, while trying to find the perfect gift? This video was created as a class project for the Centre for Arts and Technology, in Halifax. Through this "Intro to Video Production" class, the students were able to work hands on with a project from the first pitch to the final cut, learning about storyboarding, shooting, editing, and scoring. Jumping in and getting your hands dirty is a great way to learn about video production. This project was driven by the students, and they were able to accoplish this digital short with one handi-cam and a very limited amount of time. They learned about shooting, managing locations, and how difficult it is to create a movie without a budget. These lessons, in combination with the chance to see a video project through the entire pre-production and post production process will help these students in their work as animators and graphic designers.
Instructor: Daniel Gaynor
Students: Micah Marsman, Lindsey Soper, Zachary Corkum, Marshall MacPherson, Matthew Stasyna
