Thanks, and I still think thats a great build, I cant believe the problems I have had trying to bring it all together, I have even joined some groups and forums and must say there not that helpful! - I am a skilled mechanic, a 30yr veteran of electronics as a hobby, and I still find it hard to get good info on this from the net, with that in mind I am going to start my own website to detail the build, and I'm going to build my first simple CNC from off the shelf parts that be bought anywhere

what software are you running and how are you driving the steppers? - cant believe you have had no comments and this has been up a month or two, but at least i get to be first to say i think you have done a great job with it, will be starting my own shortly...

The steppers are driven by a modded version of HobbyCNC Pro. The mod was to remove the sync circuitry as it causes lost steps. For software, i use EMC2 to execute the G-code. I currently use VariCAD for CAD and CamBam as a CAM processor. I'm still looking for a more integrated solution that does more axis' and ideally runs on Linux.
